Joining Procedures
1.
Inbound fixed wing traffic should approach from the south between
the M25 and Woking and join, as convenient, either to the overhead,
downwind or left base for Rwy 24, if traffic permits.
For
Rwy 06 there is no dead side as helicopters use a right hand
circuit. Joining the Rwy 06 should therefore be from the south
between the M25 and Woking at 1400ft QFE with a let down crosswind
to 1000ft QFE. A straight in approach to Rwy 06 may be requested
subject to traffic.
2.
Helicopters may join from any direction at 1400ft QFE to let down to
the helicopter aiming point in the centre of the field and taxi to
the pad.
Leaving Procedures
1.
All traffic departing the ATZ intending to communicate with
Farnborough Radar should squawk 0457 unless a discrete code has been
allocated by Farnborough or London Control. Otherwise all traffic
departing the ATZ should squawk 7000.
2.
All traffic routing to the west and south west should leave the ATZ
to the south west and should remain below 1300ft until in contact
with Farnborough Radar as they may have ILS traffic which will be at
1900ft QNH.
3.
Training helicopters should leave the circuit to the south west.
4.
Any right turns from departures on Rwy 06 should be requested from
ATC to avoid any conflict with helicopters and any inbound traffic.
It is suggested that such departures remain below 1100ft QNH.
