FIA ALAN MANN RACING Mustang
If you want to win races in pre’66 saloon car events, this is the car to do it! It is the ultimate legal interpretation of a full house racing Mustang and probably the world’s most successful FIA Mustang!
Finished in Alan Mann Racing colours, the car was built by Brian Lewis, a vastly experienced master mechanic, with a background from Aston Martin to AMR, Brabham F1, and an independent F2 constructor. Brian and the team at AMR use all of their knowledge about racing Mustangs developed over 50 years to build this car. It is the pinnacle of a 3 car Mustang race car development program that has moved the braking and handling to a level far above the ‘average racing Mustang’.
Weighing just 1200kg and powered by a Mathwall Engineering race engine producing genuine 420 BHP, this car has consistently proved to be the fastest FIA Mustang at Masters and Goodwood events. There are still 24 hours race time left before the next rebuild.
The shell is a rust free California-sourced road car with an Andy Robinson FIA welded roll cage.
Last raced in 2015, it is a multiple Masters race winner and podium finisher, 2nd Goodwood Revival Shelby Cup.
FIA HTP until 2022, with full spares available.
Alan Mann Racing would be keen to support the new owner at race meetings and preparation.
